AAP is demanding arrest of those who tempered with mayoral elections
Chandigarh : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today protested against the BJP for its discrepancies in holding Mayoral election in Chandigarh Municipal Corporation on January 30, in front of the Municipal Corporation office in Sector 17. The effigy of BJP Lok Sabha Member Kirron Kher was burnt as a mark of protest.
It was demanded that immediate action should be taken against BJP nominated councilor and presiding officer Anil Masih, Lok Sabha Member Kirron Kher and all BJP councilors who are responsible for ‘murdering democracy’ in the Mayor elections. On this occasion, Chairman Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board and co-in-charge AAP Chandigarh Dr. SS Ahluwalia, AAP leader Prem Garg, Vijay Pal, Meena Sharma, Abha Bansal, Naresh Garg, Sukhraj Sandhu, Gurmail Singh Sidhu, PP Ghai, councilor Prem Lata, Suman Sharma, Jasvir Singh Ladi, Neha Musawat, Manowar, Kuldeep Kumar and Jaswinder Kaur apart from a large number of AAP volunteers demonstrated against BJP.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. SS Ahluwalia said that democracy has been murdered by Anil Masih, Kirron Kher and their councillors on the day of election of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation on January 30 by BJP. Aam Aadmi Party has been on hunger strike in front of the Municipal Corporation for the last 8 days. Today, the effigy of Lok Sabha Member Kirron Kher has been burnt to open the eyes of the administration so that the administration takes action against her.
He further said that there is a lot of anger among the people of not only Chandigarh but the entire country over the cancellation of 8 votes by BJP by using the pen of AAP Mayoral candidate Kuldeep Kumar. He said that even the strict observations of the Honourable Supreme Court have had no effect on the deceitful BJP and administrative officials, due to which no action has been taken against any of the accused so far.
He said that now Aam Aadmi Party will go to every ward of Chandigarh and show the real face of BJP to the people. He said that every section is troubled by the fraudulent politics of BJP. Now people are ready to show BJP the way out of power. The residents of the city are eagerly waiting for the Lok Sabha elections to get rid of the BJP which is killing democracy on camera.
