Chandigarh: UT boys almost on the verge of their first win at their opening encounter against hosts Tripura at Col Ck Nayudu trophy match being played at Agartala on Monday. Chandigarh declared its first innings at 390/9 and bowled out Tripura for just 131 runs on the second day. Neel Dhaliwal (3/13) and Amit Shukla (3/25) did their job well as Amit Ali (33) was the top scorer from the batting side.
Tripura struggled again in its second innings and was restricted at 46/7 runs before the stumps were drawn. Only two batters – Arman Hossain (16) and unbeaten Raizuddin (11) managed to touch double figure mark. For Chandigarh, Arjun Azad (2/5) and Mohd Ashad (2/7) took two wickets each. Tripura is still trailing by 213 runs.
