The Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has expressed profound grief on Monday over the demise of Former Indian Cricket Captain Bishan Singh Bedi who passed away today after a brief illness. He was 77.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family in a condolence message, Meet Hayer prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
The Minister said that Bishan Singh Bedi was a legend of the country in general and Punjab in particular who would remain a role model for the youth. He was legendary spinner and popularised Cricket in Punjab. His demise is huge loss for Game as well the Punjab state.
