Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda Dies in Mohali After 11 Days of Battle for Life
MOHALI, OCTOBER 8:
Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on Tuesday at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after battling for life for 11 days following a serious road accident.
According to hospital sources, Jawanda was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition after his Bike collided with a vehical near Baddi in Himachal due to stray cattle fight in road resulting in severe spinal injuries and brain trauma.
Despite round-the-clock monitoring and extensive medical treatment by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, his condition continued to deteriorate. He eventually succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning.
In a media statement, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, expressed condolences“Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025. Despite extensive medical support, he succumbed to multiple organ failure. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and fans.”
Jawanda, known for his hit songs like “Chandigarh Waliye,” “Mera Dil,” and “Kisan Anthem,” had a huge fan following across Punjab and among the Punjabi diaspora. His untimely death has left the Punjabi music industry and fans in deep shock.
