District-Level Adolescent Education Programme and Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

DPB, Mohali: During a District-Level Adolescent Education Programme and annual prize distribution ceremony organized today at Manav Mangal School Sector 88, Mohali, a new tradition of awarding running trophies to schools for outstanding performance in annual activities was introduced.

Divulging the details, District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr Ginni Duggal said that For the academic session 2025–26, SOE 3B1 secured first position for the running trophy, SOE Banur secured second position and Government Senior Secondary School, Ramgarh secured third position.

Among High Schools, Government High School, Rani Majra secured first position, Government High School, Rasn Heri secured second position, and Government High School, Baltana secured third position.

Similarly, in the Middle School category, Government Middle School, Mundi Kharar secured first position, Government Middle School, Badali secured second position, and Government Middle School, Chahar Majra secured third position.

Prizes were also distributed to winners of district-level events including Kala Utsav, Mathematics Fair, Teacher Fest, and Science Fair. Shalinder Singh, Principal of SOE 3B1, along with other principals of the trophy-winning schools, thanked Dr. Ginni Duggal and termed the initiative as a positive beginning.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ginni Duggal stressed the importance of student-centric education in schools. She directed that the ongoing annual examinations of Classes VIII, X, and XII be conducted strictly as per norms while ensuring that students feel comfortable and stress-free. She added that creating a positive academic environment in schools, strengthening students’ foundational understanding, promoting conceptual learning, and building a supportive atmosphere are the primary objectives.

On this occasion, Dr. Kusum (Patiala), Dr. Kritika Goel from Max Hospital, and Mrs. Aakriti, Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Kurali, shared their views on adolescent education and emphasized the need to give special attention to girl students.

Dr Duggal congratulated all school heads for successfully implementing the meditation programme initiated by the Punjab Government and encouraged them to continue working with greater enthusiasm. On this occasion, a new tradition of awarding running trophies to schools for outstanding performance in annual activities was introduced.

Among others, Deputy District Education Officer (Elementary and Secondary Education) Angrez Singh, District Vocational Coordinator Satinderjit Singh, along with all principals, head teachers, and school in-charges of the district were present at the event.
