Orders to dispose of the work in time
Derabassi /SAS Nagar:
In order to check the working of field offices, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Ashika Jain inspected SDM Office, Tehsil Office, Sub Registrar Office and BDPO office in Derabassi Sub Division on Thursday afternoon.
She instructed that the staff while leaving office for field duty must lodge an entry in the movement register. She ordered to start biometrics at the offices so that the presence of office staff could be ensured in time besides monitoring their attendance. She insisted upon making sure that nobody faces any difficulty in offices. Reviewing the Court, she asked them to dispose of the court cases in a timely manner as per the rules. Apart from this, she asked them to resolve the problems of senior citizens on a priority basis. Deputy Commissioner also lent the ears to the people present at Tehsil office and issued necessary directions to the officials to dispose of the problems. She asked them to set up a waiting hall, meeting hall and parking lot to facilitate the people who came there.
In addition, BDPO was asked to fill up the vacant posts of MGNREGA staff and office staff at BDPO Derabassi so that the office work can be done in a timely and efficient manner.
During her visit, she also instructed the officials and employees to settle the outstanding works related to the office including MGNREGA as soon as possible. She also inspected the records of the office.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully determined to provide timely services to the people. In this regard offices of SDM, Tehsildar, Sub Registrar and BDPO have been inspected to make them more people friendly.
Meanwhile, she directed the officers and employees to reach the office on time and do their work with full diligence. She asked the officials to address the problems of the people on priority basis.
The officers who were present included SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, Tehsildar Derabassi Kuldeep Singh, Naib Tehsildar Harinderjit Singh and BDPO Derabassi Ravneet Kaur.
