Chandigarh: Under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavna of Indian Army, a batch of 15 students from UT Ladakh visited the Cricket Stadium, Sector 16 on Sunday wherein theyhad a courtesy meeting with UT Cricket Association (UTCA)’s President SanjayTandon and Secretary Devinder Sharma. These children of martyred army personnel was led by Captain Megha Rawat and Vivek Chauhan were later apprised with the cricket and match proceedings. This Capacity Building Tour was organised by J&KStudy Circle and was aimed to connect these Ladakhi children with the untouched aspects of the country’s culture and heritage. This was the first opportunity for these curious children to experience cricket so closely.
They presented a momento to the UTCA President. The children were excited to meet Ranji Trophy players of UTCA. They also met Ravi Bishnoi, a player of Indian Team, who is in Chandigarh as part of squad of the Gujrat Ranji team.
