AAP Government Must Answer Farmers for Its Promise to Deliver MSP in Five Minutes; Kharar Residents Disappointed by Lack of Development: Joshi
Kharar :
BJP State Media Head and Chief Sewadar for the Kharar Assembly constituency, Vineet Joshi, questioned the performance of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Anmol Gagan Mann, asserting that she is certain to be denied the party ticket in the upcoming elections. If she doubts this, she should visit the constituency herself and gauge the public mood. Residents are deeply disappointed with both the MLA and the state government’s performance, he said.
Joshi said that before the 2022 Assembly elections, Anmol Gagan Mann had promised to ensure the delivery of Minimum Support Price (MSP) within five minutes. However, during her tenure as MLA, Kharar, Kurali and the surrounding areas continued to face serious problems, including inadequate supplies of clean drinking water, poor sewerage, damaged roads, traffic congestion, poor sanitation and a lack of other basic amenities. She has failed to address these issues, he alleged.
The people of the constituency want to know what she has done to promote development over the past five years and what has become of the promises made during the election campaign, Joshi said.
He further said that the allegations and controversies surrounding corruption and bribery during Anmol Gagan Mann’s tenure also demanded clear answers. Mann herself had accused certain officials of demanding bribes by invoking her name. The public deserves to know what action was taken in the matter and who was held accountable, he added.
Joshi said that Mann’s announcement in 2025 that she would resign as MLA and quit politics had also raised several questions. The people of Kharar no longer want political rhetoric; they want answers to their questions and a comprehensive account of the development work carried out in the constituency, he said.
Joshi asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party must understand that the people of Kharar will no longer be swayed by hollow promises. The public will make its decision based on ground realities and the government’s performance over the five-year term, he added.
