During the camp, a team of specialist doctors examined 188 patients, while health cards were issued to 124 eligible beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme. Residents of the area participated in the camp and availed themselves of various healthcare services.

The camp provided dental check-ups and treatments, including scaling, fillings, tooth extractions and treatment for other oral health problems. In addition, blood sugar and blood pressure tests were conducted, along with special health screenings for women. Medical consultations and free medicines were also provided to patients according to their needs.

Providing information about the 124 health cards issued under the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme, the healthcare team explained that eligible beneficiaries could avail themselves of cashless treatment at government hospitals and empanelled private hospitals, as per the scheme’s guidelines. The initiative also aimed to raise public awareness about the benefits of government healthcare schemes while making essential health services more accessible to residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sunny Singh Ahluwalia said that providing better healthcare facilities and ensuring that these services remain accessible to the general public were extremely important. He emphasised that timely health check-ups could help detect many diseases at an early stage, enabling patients to begin treatment without delay.

He further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government was committed to providing better healthcare facilities and ensuring that the benefits of government health schemes reached the public. He added that such health camps played a significant role not only in providing free medical examinations and consultations but also in increasing awareness about health and preventive care.

Dr. Ahluwalia said that the health of Mohali residents, a clean environment and improved civic amenities remained among his top priorities. He assured residents that similar initiatives related to healthcare and public welfare would continue in the future, keeping the needs of the people in mind.

At the conclusion of the camp, he thanked the residents of Phase 1, the team of doctors, healthcare workers and volunteers for their cooperation in making the initiative successful. He said that the trust and support of the people continued to inspire him to work consistently for public service and social welfare.
