Chandigarh: The Vijay Merchant Trophy match being played between Chandigarh and Gujarat ended in a draw at Pune.
In response to Chandigarh’s first innings score of 244, Gujarat declared the innings at 377/8 on the third day and took a lead of 133 runs. Centurion Sundaresh Bhatt was the top scorer with 143 while Patel Kush (71) and Kewal Patel (58) scored half-centuries.
In reply, Chandigarh also scored 202/3 runs with the help of Markandey Panchal (116) and half-century from unbeaten Meet Dahiya (54). Chandigarh’s next match is against Bihar on December 11 at the same venue.
