Mohali:
A meeting of Sromani Akali Dal Constituency Mohali was held under the chairmanship of Parvinder Singh Sohana Chief Sevadar, SAD, Mohali constituency. It was decided in the meeting that the birthday of former Chief Minister of Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal will be celebrated as Goodwill Day on December 8.
Speaking in the meeting, Parvinder Singh Sohana said that Mohali constituency will always be indebted to Sardar Badal who during his government spent Rs 2500 crores for the development of Mohali’s infrastructure. He said that many big works including international airport of Mohali, sports stadiums, bus stand in Mohali, widening and doubling of the main road of Mohali were done during Sardar Badal’s government. He said that the succeeding governments have only tried to reap the benefits of the development done by the Akali Dal and have not brought single project on their own. He said that the memory of such a Chief Minister who used to take all sections together and kept them together, will always remain in the hearts of the people of Punjab including Mohali and his contribution to Punjab can never be forgotten.
Giving information about the proceedings of the meeting, Kamaljit Singh Ruby, Urban President, Shiromani Akali Dal, Mohali said that on December 8, at 9 am, the Sri Sukhmani Sahib Path will begin at Gurdwara Amb Sahib. A massive blood donation camp will be organized at 10 am. Advocate Simranjit Singh Chandumajra specially participated in the meeting.
Senior Akali leader Kartar Singh Tasimbali, Karam Singh Babra President Gurdwara Ramgarhiya Sabha, Manjit Singh Mann President Dashmesh Welfare Council, Gurcharan Singh Chechi, Manjit Singh Lubana, Paramjit Singh Gill, Tarsem Singh Gundho, Harpal Singh Brar, Simran Dhillon, Ajaypal Midukhera, Avtar Singh Daun, Baljit Singh Dairi, Balwinder Singh Lakhnor, Harinder Singh Sukhgarh, Shivinder Singh Lakhowal, Kashmir Kaur, Sardara Singh Jujhar Nagar, Taranpreet Singh Youth Leader and other workers and leaders were present.
