Taking a serious note of the problem being faced by the commuters on Chandigarh- Zirakpur Highway Vehicular Under Bridge, the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain has asked the Executive Engineer to immediate effective steps to solve the problem.
Discussing the public interest issue with the Executive Engineer of National Highways, Yuvraj Singh Bindra in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta, she said that it’s our duty to dispose of the problem arose due to pathetic condition of the service lane besides the VUB.
The Executive Engineer while apprising the DC of the status report said that the road was cut by the Sewerage Department with the prior permission of the Department and now after completion of the work, the Department is going to make it motorable. He said that a proposal for the re-carpeting has already been submitted
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the other side of the service lane would also be taken care of so that the commuters may not suffer due to the bad condition of the road.
She also instructed the Executive Engineer Manpreet Singh Dua related to RUBs Mubarkpur and Bhankharpur to keep both the approach roads convenient for the commuters.
