Chandigarh: Shivalik Public School, Phase-6, Mohali organized its Alumni Meet on December 9, 2023. Ex Shivalikians, spanning across various years came together for an unforgettable Alumni Meet in the school itself.
The event, organized under the umbrella of Shivalik Public School proved to be a great success as more than 300 Alumni members attended the Gala event. It helped in fostering connections, reminiscing about shared experiences, and celebrating the achievements of former students.
The day kicked off with a warm welcome tea followed by a floral greeting. After that a series of engaging activities commenced in the school auditorium which included the Cultural programme presented by the students and staff members.
The medley of events included the school Shabad, Vandana, Dance performances, Skit, Songs, and Poems. Further, it was followed by an Interactive Session , Honouring of the respective batches and a Vote of Thanks by the Principal Gurkiranjeet Nalwa. Shivalik’s much anticipated souvenir was released by the Directors S. DS.Bedi and Satwant Kaur Bedi along with other dignitaries.
The souvenir reflects the commitment to quality craftsmanship and the celebration of 53 glorious years. The Shivalik souvenir incapsulates the essence of their experiences, photographs and voyage. Afterwards, sumptuous lunch was also arranged by the school management.
The event featured keynote speakers, including distinguished alumni, Mr Rana Gurjeet Singh(MLA), Mr Devinder Singh Johal(Industrialist), Awla Brothers(Industrialists), Mr Jasbir Singh Gill, MP, Mr Harbax Singh Dhillon(IG), Mr Hari Singh Grewal, Additional District and Session Judge, Patiala, Mr Harmanbir Singh Gill(IPS), S. Deepinder Singh Nalwa(Board Member, Alumni), Dr. Darshan Singh, Mrs. Aman Singh who have made notable contributions in their respective fields.
Three out of five members who had laid the foundation stone of the school, Mr Jaspreet Singh, Mr Narender Malhan, AGM, BHEL, Bhopal, S Gurdeep Singh Cheema were also present to relive cherished memories, to reflect on their journeys and reaffirm their commitment to the values instilled by Shivalik.
The meet exceeded expectations, with a remarkable turnout of esteemed alumni who travelled from near and far to participate in the festivities. Additionally, each batch starting from 1970 got an opportunity to get their group photograph clicked with the revered Director, S. D.S. Bedi.
The event culminated with remarkable musical evening which added to the vivid vibrance of the day. It was followed by a delightful gala dinner, providing a perfect setting for more informal conversations and laughter.
The alumni meet was a testament to the enduring connections forged during the formative years at Shivalik.
As the day concluded, the Alumni Meet not only strengthened existing connections but also sparked new ones, creating a vibrant network that will continue to flourish in the years to come.
