Revenue Courts Dispose 2551 cases out of 3140, asks for early disposal of rest of the cases

No Patwari to be relieved until the completion of pending work of prior circle, says ADC Viraj S Tidke to SDMs and Tehsildars

Reviews the progress of work done under SVAMITVA scheme in Villages

With a view to ameliorate the  problems of general public related to revenue records in the district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj S Tidke today ordered to relieve the under transfer field officers only after clearing of backlog of Mutations and Girdawaris initiated in his/her tenure.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner who was reviewing the progress of revenue officers, in a meeting held, today, at District Administrative Complex, further said that it should be ensured that the revenue officer should be asked to complete the outstanding work such as preparation and consignment of Jamabandis and Mutations so that the pendency should be reduced further.

      Reviewing the progress of SVAMITVA scheme, under which proprietary rights of the property in possession of the rural population falling under “Laal Lakeer” have to be entered in Revenue Record, Viraj S Tidke asked the SDMs and Circle Revenue officers to expedite the said process. Till now, maps of 155 villages have been prepared after drone survey of 233 villages of the district.

     The Additional Deputy Commissioner further said that in order to provide citizen centric services to the people at their door steps, the possibilities of setting up of more Sewa Kendras/Revenue Infrastructure in the district would be explored with identification of the sites. It may be mentioned that the sub-tehsil buildings are to be constructed at Banur at a cost of 3.05 crores, Majri and Zirakpur at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs each besides repair and maintenance of SDM Complex Derabassi at an estimated cost of Rs 90 lakhs.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner while instructing to improve the efficiency of the Revenue Courts Management System to the revenue officers, said that out of 3140 cases related to the revenue courts, 2551 have been settled. He directed to pendency of 589 cases within timeline. The Circle revenue officers were also instructed to recover the revenue pending in various cases.

      During the meeting, the PM Kissan Samman Nidhi scheme was also reviewed and instructions were passed on to settle the pending cases. Apart from this, the ADC ordered all the officials to check the pending complaint cases received on WhatsApp every day and dispose of them.

      The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the compensation amount regarding the land acquired for various projects should be released as soon as possible and the process of taking possession of the acquired land should also be expedited. The pendency related to Punjab Grievances Redressal System was also discussed and asked to upload the resolutions of the complaints in give timeline.  
    Officers present in the meeting included SDM, Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta, SDM, Mohali Chandra Jyoti Singh, CMFO Inder Pal, District Revenue Officer Amandeep Singh, Tehsildars Jaswinder Singh Kharar, Kuldeep Singh Dhillon Mohali,Bir Karan Singh Sub Registrar Mohali, Kuldeep Singh Derabassi, Naib Tehsildars Ravinder Singh Mohali, manish Kumar Kharar, Jasvir Kaur Majri and Harinderjit Singh Derabassi along with officials of various departments were included.
