Chandigarh:
Photography competition conducted in the month of November 2023 by the Department of Public Relations, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh was adjudged today by jury of four members namely Prof. Bhupinder Brar, Former Dean of University Instructions, PU, Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, PU, Ms. Renuka B. Salwan, Former Director, Public Relations, PU and Dr. Jaspal Kamana, Government College of Girls, Chandigarh.
The contest was on two different themes i.e. Shadows of PU Campus and PU Structure. The DPR office received more than 170 photographs of both the themes.
All the judges deeply appreciated the perspective, mood, lighting, clean composition used by the photographers while clicking their photographs and also appreciated the step taken by Department of Public Relations and suggested that this should be made a regular practice every year.
The result of the photography competition is as under:-
Prof. Namita Gupta, Director, Public Relations while appreciating all the photographers participated in the contest, said that photography has nothing to do with camera. Every photo is unique, having a creative perspective.
She further shared that department is planning to organize photography exhibition of the selected photographs very soon.
