Mohali : The owners of gyms and fitness centers in Mohali thanked former Punjab health minister and Congress candidate from Mohali , Balbir Singh Sidhu for reopening the gym and fitness centers. The gym owners, trainers and other employees from all over Punjab staged a protest in front of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan a few days back seeking opening of gyms and fitness centers.
Sidhu had reached the spot and resolved the matter by talking to the Deputy Commissioner on telephone. The former cabinet minister also spoke to the Home Secretary and asked to open a gym and fitness center in Mohali.
He said that with the opening of gyms and fitness centers, not only the members would get the facility for exercise but also the players participating in various competitions would also be able to practice in these gyms and centers.
He also requested all gym owners in Mohali to follow the COVID protocols strictly.
