Mohali Rehri Fari Association organised election rally in favor of Congress candidate, MLA and former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu from Mohali. All present on the occasion raised their hands and declared victory of Balbir Singh Sidhu by a landslide. MLA Sidhu was accompanied by Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu and Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu, MLA and former Health Minister said that Congress party has always stood by all sections and provided employment to the people. He said that he had never allowed the Rehri Fari owners to get affected by the Corona pandemic and as soon as the situation improved, first of all the employment of Rehri Fari owners started and the mandis were also started.
He said that he stood by the Rehri Fari owners and mandi shopkeepers in every possible way and after the elections they would be provided space under town vending so that no one could disturb them.
Speaking on the occasion Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu said that the Municipal Corporation has constituted a Town Vending Committee and conduct a survey of Rehri Fari owners working in Mohali and those working in the mandi and MC would favor them to provide them relief.
Earlier Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi welcomed MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu and Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu and apprised them of the problems faced by the rehri fari owners which MLA Sidhu promised to solve.
On this occasion the President of Rehri Fadi Association Ravi Kumar along with his associates announced to elect Balbir Singh Sidhu by a large number of votes and said that every single vote each of Rehri Fari and Mandi people would go to casted in favor of Balbir Singh Sidhu.
A large number of small shopkeepers including Makhan Singh president Mandis, Naresh president Fruit Market were present on the occasion.
