“The agendas of traditional parties are driven by the politics of high command culture, caste and religion.”
Sanyukt Samaj Morcha is a party that has emerged from the farmer’s movement. There is no high command culture but an internal democracy in which grassroots people are working in Punjab. Punjab needs a model of Dr Swaiman, not a model created by the Delhi High Commands’. Under Dr Swaiman’s model, there will be uniform, parallel development of every section in the whole of Punjab. That is why there was a need to form an SSM in Punjab. These views were expressed by Ravneet Brar from Mohali constituency of Sanyukt Samaj Morcha.
California returned Dr Swaiman, who had played a pivotal role in the Farmer’s movement is now arriving in Mohali on February 9 to campaign for Sanyukt Samaj Morcha candidate Ravneet Brar.
During his visit to Mohali on 9th February, Dr Swaiman will not only campaign in favour of SSM but will also address election campaign meetings in various villages. Apart from this, he will also discuss various issues while meeting eminent personalities of the region in Mohali.
Reacting to the Congress party high command yesterday declaring Charanjit Channi as the face of the Chief Minister after the failure of Navjot Sidhu’s Punjab model, Ravneet Brar said, “in other parties, Before implementing any pro-people agenda, vote equation, caste, religion, regions seen and analyze.”
“Also, the High Commands from Delhi has very little knowledge of Punjab issues.” He added.
Finally, Ravneet Brar said that Punjab would now have a Punjab model of Dr Swaiman in which policies would be formulated keeping in view the progress of every section of Punjab and it would not be controlled by any High Commands from Delhi.
