AMRITSAR: Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Cabinet Minister, Punjab, Kulbir Singh Jira, MLA and Harminder Singh (Gill) MLA handed over the clarification sought by the rebel Jathedar of Akal Takht Dhian Singh Mand outside the Secretariat of Akal Takht today.
Dhian Singh Mand is a former militant leader who returned to main stream and also contested Lok Sabha elections in 1989 and won by huge margin. He was later appointed Akal Takht Jathedar by Sikh radical groups.
Earlier, the Jathedar Mand paid obeisance at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and similarly the Minister and MLAs also came out of the Golden Temple and handed over a letter of explanation on the envelope of which the former dictator Bargadi instead of writing Jathedar Mand as Jathedar. The front was written.
Bhai Mand alleged from the Akal Takht in the month of July that the Bargadi Morcha on June 1, 2018 was paid off by the Punjab Government on December 9, 2018 saying that the demands of the Morcha would be seriously discussed and the demands implemented.
Required action will be taken. Mand said that so far no action has been taken on any of the demands which led him to appoint two Ministers and three MLAs on August 2 in view of the services and rights rendered by the Executive Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib during Sarbatt Khalsa.
He was summoned to the throne but in case he did not appear on August 2, he was given another time on August 20. On December 9, 2018, two promising ministers Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and three MLAs Harminder Singh Gill, Kulbir Singh Jira and Kushaldeep Singh Kiki Dhillon were summoned for clarification. Although three out of five persons have closed the explanation in a sealed envelope and handed it over to the Jathedar Mand, all of them turned away from talking to the media.
Earlier these people have said that Bhai Mand is not the Jathedar of Akal Takht and the envelope of explanation given today is not Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand but former dictator Bargadi Morcha.
Bhai Mand refused to comment at this time saying that there was a lot in this envelope and it would be read aloud in the meeting of Panj Pyare and further action would be taken on August 30 from Akal Takht. Bhai Mand said that he would not say anything more.
