Dr. Amneet Gill, Panjab University, Chandigarh participated in a discussion organized by New York University School of Law’s Institute for Policy Integrity on the theme Industrial decarbonization Research Insights virtually.
The webinar focused on technological and policy changes needed to augment efforts to decarbonize industrial processes. Governments across the world are working on reducing carbon footprint by reducing carbon emissions from energy intensive industries.
She pointed towards India’s energy transition and decarbonization agenda which is to create a new clean energy system with reliability and sustainability, achieved through government flagship policy initiates like promotion of electric vehicles, green hydrogen” policy, offshore wind policy and a substantial increase in renewable energy capacity.
