Power cut issue,36 persons booked for thrashing, interfering in d

The incident took place on July 17

 Muktsar: A case against 6 persons by name, including Dilraj Singh, Swaran Singh,Kala Singh,Pirtpal Singh, Golu and Chamkaur(two member panchayat) besides 25 to 30 others unidentified has been registered on the complaint of Jaskaran Singh, a powercom employee deputed at the 66 kVA substation in village Thrajwala.

The complainant Jaskaran Singh son of Major Singh, a resident of Puari had alleged that a crowd of more than 30 people entered the control room on July 17 and it argued with him about the power cut, thrashed him and also used derogatory words against his cast.

The issue was about the power cut and anger of the village residents against the POWERCOM.

The police have registered a case against the 6 persons accusing them by name and 30 unidentified under section 353,386,332,149,506 of IPC at Lambi police station of the district after investigation in the case.

No arrest has been made so far.
