Chandigarh:
In a proactive move to ensure accuracy and uphold the esteemed reputation of educational institutions, NSUI Punjab, under the leadership of President Isherpreet Singh Sidhu, initiated a dialogue regarding the mention of Lawrence Bishnoi as a notable alumni of DAV College, Chandigarh in Google search results.
NSUI’s meticulous scrutiny brought to light this misinformation, prompting DAV College to take swift action. The college has officially called for the removal of the erroneous search result from Google, reinforcing its commitment to accuracy and responsible representation.
President Isherpreet Singh Sidhu personally engaged with the college principal to ensure the drafting of a formal letter to Google, urging the removal of the misleading search result. NSUI’s intervention has been pivotal in instigating this positive change, highlighting the importance of student bodies in safeguarding the integrity of educational institutions.
“If NSUI had not initiated this dialogue, the imperative change might not have been demanded. Our dedication to truth and accountability drives impactful results,” stated President Isherpreet Singh Sidhu.
While NSUI applauds DAV College’s prompt action, it must be emphasized that such lapses are unexpected from an esteemed institution. President Isherpreet Singh Sidhu commented, “We believe that this should not have happened in the first place. NSUI Punjab remains committed to ensuring that students and education in Punjab move in a positive direction, free from inaccuracies that tarnish the reputation of our esteemed institutions.”
