National Gold medalist Para-Athletics, Vivek Sharma honoured by Sohana

Punjab and central governments shall boost morale by giving Vivek Sharma a govt. job immediately: Parvinder Singh Sohana

Vivek Sharma, who won a gold medal at the national level in the 100 meter race in para-athletics, was honored today by Parvinder Singh Sohana, Chief Sevadar of Shiromani Akali Dal Halka Mohali, the committee of Gurdwara Singh Shaheed Sohana and the residents of Sohana. On this occasion, especially Parvinder Singh Sohana demanded from the Punjab government that such youths should be given government jobs immediately to boost their morale.

It may be mentioned that Vivek Sharma is a resident of Sohana and has recently won gold medal in 100m race at the National para-athletics games at Goa.

Parvinder Singh Sohana said that Vivek Sharma belongs to a simple family and is a native of village Sohana. He said that it is a matter of great pride that Vivek Sharma, despite being a 60% handicapped, did not give up and was successful in winning the national gold medal in the sport of athletics, especially in the 100m race. He said that the struggle of this player and his family are highly appreciated.

Parvinder Singh Sohana especially demanded from the BJP government at the center and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give maximum help to encourage youths like Vivek Sharma and give government job to Vivek Sharma immediately so that his morale will be boosted. “He can establish a record at the international level which will be a matter of pride for our country as well.” Said Sohana.

On this occasion Harjinder Singh President Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Committee, Harvinder Singh Namdar, Narinder Singh Kang sports promoter and other dignitaries were present.
