Micro Industries backbone of Punjab economy: Balbir Sidhu
Mohali : Mohali Small Industries Welfare Society has declared its full support to former Punjab Minister and Congress candidate from Mohali, Balbir Singh Sidhu in the upcoming Punjab Assembly Poll on February 20.
In a meeting held on Tuesday, the Society representative decided to rally behind Balbir Sidhu while calling upon it’s over 250 members to vote and support Balbir Sidhu.
Among others, Jaswant Singh President, Manjeet Singh senior vice president , CP Singh General Secretary, Soni Dhiman vice president, Gurmeet Singh Sayan vice president Sunil Dutt vice president, Tarlok Chand Joint Secretary, Davinder Singh Press Secretary, Bhupinder Singh Chief Advisor, Jagtar Singh and Dilbagh Singh were presented in the meeting.
Speaking during the occasion, Balbir Sidhu said that Micro Industries are the backbone of Punjab’s economy.
During the Congress government in Punjab, all problems of Small Industries were tried to solve on priority basis. In Mohali, we are aware of the problems faced by it. After forming a government in Punjab again the Congress party would solve pending demands of small industries on priority, Sidhu assured.
Talking about a pending demand of Society in Mohali to allot them the small plots.
Sidhu said that the small industries are running on the rented accommodations from the past around 30 years. To sort out this problem the land was finalized at Saneta two years back . But small scale industries did not accept the proposal and sought land in some near and central places of town.
The new land has already been finalized. Within one month of forming the government at Punjab, we would allot the plots in this new identified land, Sidhu claimed.
