Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Manipuri Women Association organised a Sit in Peaceful Protest at Sector- 17 Plaza Chandigarh in demand of Peace in Manipur immediately.
The Protest was organised Globally today and the World will see the protest from every corner of the world .The state Manipur is in Violence since last 7 months and 14 days but unfortunately still in Violence with lots of killing and burning of houses.And many thousands people are homeless and still staying at Relief Camps with no proper facilities of fooding and lodging.When will they go back to their home and live normal life. No Steps has been taken by State Govt so far . Many lives have been lost and many people have departed from their families.
Nanda sharma member of association say Many people missing cases has been reported. Proper action has not been taken so far to finish the Violence by the State as well as the Central Government.Its like the war zone ,everytime there is firing off and on from the hill militant side .Every week there is killing of public people.
Nandaprem ji says People are living in Dilemma. If Government wants, it can be finished in two days.Our question is that Why Govt is not able to thrown out militant people from the hilly areas who are disturbing the normalcy of the state ?
Women Association members says In this situation also, Manipuri CM has started Election Campaigning ,talking about election .This is totally senseless. Our respected Prime Minister is worring about Isreal-Palestine war but not even thinking of home Country state –Manipur’s violence for more 7 months .
Seems that Manipur is treating like not a part of India. Our Request is that Please stop playing political game at the cost of public people. We demand Peace and Harmony in the State of Manipur ,Stop the violence and Save Our Manipur Integrity .
They said why we gather here today to protest. Save Manipur ,Stop Violence .Need of the Hour is Peace in Manipur .On humanity ground,Governments should take immediate measure to end the violence
