DC Appeals to eligible voters for getting enrolled their names

Chief Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, have extended the last date for enrolling as a voter for the SGPC elections from November 15, 2023 to February 29, 2024.
Divulging the details about the revised schedule, the Deputy Commissioner, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mrs Aashika Jain said that all the eligible voter can register their names by Februray 29, 2024, now. The publication of preliminary rolls would be ensured by March 21, 2024 while the last date for receiving claims and objections is April 11th next year, she added.
Similarly, Last date for disposal of claims and objections and communication of decisions by the revising authority thereon to the Deputy Commissioner is 21st April, 2024 and preparations of manuscript of the supplementary roll and printing of supplements would be 2nd May, 2024. The date of final publication of the rolls would be May 3, 2024.
While making an appeal to the residents, who fulfill the conditions for enrolling as a voter, she said that the eligible persons can submit their forms, available on the district website (SASNagar.nic.in) by due date to the concerned officials. They can submit their forms to Municipal Councils for Urban Areas and to Revenue Patwaris for Rural areas. In case of any difficulty, they can contact their respective Sub Divisional Magistrate offices who have been designated as the Revising Authority Officers for Mohali, Kharar and Derabassi.
