Reiterates Commitment to curb illegal activities and Drug trafficking

1998 batch IPS officer Jaskaran Singh, assumed office as ADGP Ropar Range at District Administrative Complex here today.
The district police presented him a guard of honour on arriving at DAC Mohali while SSP Dr Sandeep Garg and SP (H) Jyoti Yadav formally welcomed him.
While interacting with the media, ADGP Ropar Jaskaran Singh said that the Punjab Police have a thorough professional and transparent approach towards policing and any body found indulged in criminal activities and drug trafficking would not be spared.
He said that the anti social persons trying to harm the peace of society or violating law and order would be dealt sternly.
Reiterating his commitment as per the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and directions of DGP Gaurav Yadav to intensify the ongoing campaign against the drug traffickers as well as creating awareness among the masses.
he said that to maintain a peaceful environment and crime free society, he would chalk out a strategy with all the three district police chiefs falling in the Ropar range. He further said that the work of the police is to provide a peaceful and safe environment to the people and he would strive hard ti fulfill this responsibility diligently.
It is worth mentioning that IPS officer Jaskaran Singh is currently serving as ADGP Intelligence-2 along with the Charge of ADGP of Ropar range. Earlier, he has served as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, ADGP Intelligence, DIG Jalandhar Range, and as IGP of Ferozepur, Bathinda and Ludhiana ranges.
