Industrial Business Owners Association announces support to Balbir Sidhu

Mohali : The Industrial Business Owners Association, Mohali has announced support to Balbir Singh Sidhu the former Punjab Minister and Congress candidate from Mohali on Wednesday.

During a program at Tynor Orthotics in Sector 82 here today the office bearers of Association expressed full faith in Sidhu’s leadership and promised to support him and Congress party in the upcoming poll on February 20.

Speaking on occasion, Balbir Sidhu said that during his three terms as MLA he always worked for the welfare of traders, businessmen, industrial staff and workers.

He promised to complete a Skill Workers Center in Sector 66 which is lying incomplete. The 75 percent work on this center has been done. After forming Congress government again in Punjab it will be completed at any cost, he asserted.

He further said that a city bus service has been approved in Mohali. The tender will be floated after April 15. It will take another 20-25 days more. We have chalked out 28 routes that will cover the whole Mohali constituency. The industrial staff and workers in sector 82 and other areas of Mohali will be greatly benefited from it, he maintained.

We need to promote industry in Mohali. By promoting industry we can generate employment and can help to improve Punjab economy, he said
“Mohali town, which was established in 1974 by Gaini Jail Singh, is on the international map now .

Presently many people from big cities preferred to invest in Mohali. The infrastructure of Mohali has been improved considerably in past few years,”
We need to develop Mohali more so that more and more investment can come here, he said.

Criticizing opposition for false poll propaganda, Sidhu said that AAP Mohali candidate may be a good businessman but when you are in public service you have to sacrifice your vested interest and you have to be impartial and honest.

Punjab doesn’t require Mohalla Clinics. We have already set up dispensaries and 3000 health wellness centers in Punjab where all kinds of medical tests are available. There are many primary health centers and other medical infrastructures to offer quality health facilities at grassroots level, he opined.
Ironically, AAP talked of setting up Mohalla Clinics in Punjab whereas during Covid peak Delhi faced a maximum crisis and the central government had to intervene to control the situation, he pointed out.
