In writ petition number CWP-11-2024 dated 6th Jan, 2024 in case Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) Vs Punjab State of Technical Education and Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), acting Chief Justice Ritu Bahri has directed IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar & PSBTE & IT, Chandigarh to consider the admission done in Pharmacy Courses from 31st Oct, 2023 to 31st December, 2023.
The petitioner Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA knocked the door of Court stating that Supreme Court & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi have permitted the admission in Pharmacy Courses in the entire Country till 31st December. Many other states like Haryana, Madhya Pradesh etc have also extended the dates of admission but in Punjab the admissions were closed on 31st October.
Now with this Court order, all the admissions done in Punjab in Pharmacy Courses in last 3 months will be considered. The court has fixed the date 31st Jan, 2024 for the next hearing.
