Chandigah: Day 3 of Panjab University Zonal Youth & Heritage Festival Chandigarh Zone-B at MCM began with the much-awaited, theatrical items, heritage quiz, and heritage art and craft competitions. While on the one hand, the Dramatics made the audience laugh and cry simultaneously, on the other hand, the heritage quiz tested the mettle of participants as far as their knowledge of our rich heritage is concerned. The corner of Heritage Art & Craft became vibrant with embroidery in vibrant hues while the crochet work and knitting fascinated everyone. The Mehndi designs added a festive vibe to the campus. The participants, engrossed, in putting their best foot forward were a sight to behold as they deftly moved their hands to create exquisite pieces of art. Distinguished guests who graced the occasion on Day 3 of the Youth Festival at MCM DAV College for Women were welcomed at various venues for different events. The Chief Guest for the morning session was Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examination, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He appreciated the efforts of Management and staff members of the college for hosting this mega event. He further added that such festivals provide an opportunity for our youth to expand their mental horizons and to show their talent in the areas of art and culture. Sh. Sanjeev Goyal, Director General, O/o The Director General of Audit (Central), Chandigarh was the Chief Guest for the afternoon session. He appreciated the immense talent of the participants that was demonstrated in the performances. He also expressed wonderous delight at the remarkable achievements made by the college. Hon’ble Justice Pritam Pal ji, Vice President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi was the Chief Guest for the evening session. Justice Pritam Pal ji emphasized the importance of Vedic values for today’s students citing examples from his profession as a judge. He added that human life is precious so we should try to rise in life by imbibing virtues such as morality, ethics, good character and honesty. Another distinguished guest who graced the occasion was Mrs. Sudesh Gandhar, a member of the DAV College Managing Committee.
