SAS Nagar :
In line of its ongoing campaign ‘Punjab Against Drug Addiction-a legal services initiative’, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar raised awareness among the students of Government High School, Landran about legal rights and provisions related to drug abuse and de-addiction and further to promote community involvement and education of drug abuse prevention in collaboration with government agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Baljinder Singh Maan, educated the students regarding ill effects and consequences of use of drug and sensitized them that they must keep themselves away from this menace being a vulnerable group to these kinds of bad vices.
It is learnt that every nook and corner of every village/town which is affected by drug addiction shall be reached out during the campaign by organizing rallies, walkathons, workshops and seminars in collaboration with Police, Health and Education departments shall be organized.
Competition like declamation, debates, poster making, chart making shall be held in the Schools and colleges to create awareness amongst the students as to drug abuse.
