Director of Gujarat Minorities Commission meets Shiromani Committee President on Sikh Issues

AMRITSAR: Bibi Paramjit Kaur Chhabra, Director, Gujarat Minorities Commission and President, Sikh Foundation Gujarat called on Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Bibi Jagir Kaur and discussed the work being done for Sikh propaganda in Gujarat.

During the meeting, Bibi Jagir Kaur got acquainted with the issues pertaining to the Sikhs of Gujarat and expressed the commitment of the SGPC to extend all possible cooperation in the field of Dharam Prachar.

On this occasion Bibi Paramjit Kaur Chhabra invited Bibi Jagir Kaur to visit Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar Lakhpat in Kash district.

She apprised the SGPC President that there was a need for holy images of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in various Guru Ghars of Gujarat, so arrangements should be made to send the holy scriptures of Guru Granth Sahib Ji as per the demand of the Sangat.

She said that the Sikh Foundation in collaboration with the Gujarat Shiromani Committee would continue to work for the propagation of Sikhism in Gujarat so that the Sikh community could be connected with its heritage.

On this occasion he was accompanied by the President of Gurdwara Gandhidham Jagtar Singh and Secretary, Gurdwara Mani Nagar, Ahmedabad. Parveer Singh Saluja was also present.
