Mohali:
Parvinder Singh Sohana, Chief Sevadar of Shiromani Akali Dal Constituency Mohali, has strongly condemned the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab for increasing DA to the employees by only 4%. Parvinder Singh Sohana said that this DA was due from 1/7/2022 but it has been implemented after around one and a half year (from 1/12/2023) which is a complete blow to the employees.
He said that many state governments, (including Central Government and Chandigarh UT, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and other state governments), are giving 46 percent DA to the employees while despite an increase of four percent DA by Punjab govt., the employees of Punjab are getting only 38 percent DA which is much less than these states. He said that apart from this, Punjab government is deducting Rs. 200 tax from government employees which is illegal.
Chief Sevadar Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the Punjab government is spending crores of rupees on wasteful advertisement and all the roads are filled with advertisement boards of Punjab. He said that this money should used for welfare of the state.
He said that similarly what is the purpose of buying new helicopters by the Punjab government. He said that Bhagwant Mann’s government is buying such helicopters for Arvind Kejriwal’s ride in which Punjab’s money is being squandered and wasted.
Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the Akali Dal government always worked for the interests of the employees and even today the employees remember the noble policies of the late Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal towards the employees. He said that the hardworking people of Punjab will take revenge for this wasteful expenditure of Aam Aadmi Party in the Lok Sabha elections.
