Chandigarh: The cycling group – Cyclegiri observed International Men’s Day in a unique manner by organizing a cycle rally to bring awareness on male disorder – Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Sunaina Bansal and Akshit Passi founders of Cyclegiri said nearly 95 male cyclists participated in the rally who were well supported by female cyclists.
The rally was flagged by Mayor Anup Gupta from Chandigarh Press Club and passed through various sectors of the city to conclude at the starting venue, Noted radio jockey Meenakshi was also present.
All the cyclists were in dress code bearing coats and pants, among them Mayor Gupta also enjoyed pedaling. Special invitee Dr. Hemkant Verma made the participants aware of the unknown aspects of prostate cancer including its symptoms, prevention and treatment.
A few fitness competitions were also conducted and the winners were honoured. The organizers expressed special gratitude to Vikas Vajpayee for making the event a success.
