Children’s Gurbani chanting, turban competition and painting competition organized at Gurdwara Bibi Bhani under the heritage project

Seeing a large number of Sikh children connecting with the heritage gives great relief: Parvinder Singh Sohana

Mohali : Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Gurdwara Bibi Bhani Ji Phase 7 Mohali organized a painting competition along with Gurbani Kanth and Dastar competition for children from 8 to 16 years of age to connect them with Gurmat

Parvinder Singh Sohana, Chief Sevadar of Shiromani Akali Dal Constituency Mohali, who arrived specially on this occasion, honored the winning children with cash prizes.

Speaking on this occasion, Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the uniqueness of this event is that hundreds of children came to participate in these competitions, which gave a lot of peace to the mind. Parvinder Singh Sohana said that these competitions will be held in different parts of the constituency in the coming days.

Chief Sevadar Parvinder Singh Sohana also said on this occasion that a large number of Sikh youths are falling prey to degeneration. He said that to avoid this, Sikh children need to be connected with Sikh religion and heritage from childhood. He said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Shiromani Akali Dal have been trying to connect Sikh children with their heritage for a long time and such competitions are being conducted in different areas in the entire Mohali constituency. He said that its meaningful results have started to emerge now.

On this occasion, Sohan expressed his thanks to Gurdwara Prambhadhak Committee Bibi Bhani Ji, Bibi Paramjit Kaur Launderan Shiromani Committee Member, Bhai Jatinder Singh Pracharak, Surinderjit Singh, Khushwinder Singh, Dr. Manjit Singh and Mahinder Singh, Secretary Gurdwara Bibi Bhani who contributed greatly to this work. On this occasion, he requested all the Sikhs and Guru Nanak Naam Lewa Sangat to contribute more in this valuable work so that the Sikh children can be saved from degeneration and they can be connected with their heritage.

Sarabjit Singh Paras, Ramandeep Singh Bawa, Satnam Singh Landran, Savinder Singh Oberoi were also present on this occasion.
