Chandigarh: State sub-junior and junior volleyball championship (boys and girls) dedicated to legend sports person late Smt. Nirmal Milkha Singh, which started on 7th to 9th November and conclude today in sports complex sec-7, Chandigarh.
The three days event was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Rayat, Joint Director sports in which 13 boys teams and 6 girls teams in sub-junior section and 11 boys teams and 6 girls teams in junior section were participated. In junior boys section final match is played between Sports complex sec-7 and SD College-32 in which SD College 32 defeat sports complex-7 in a well contested match by 3-1 (30-32, 25-15, 25-23, 25-23)
The final matches were sources of attraction for young players and general public of the city
Youth icon Sh Jeev Milkha Singh, Padam Shree and Arjuna Awarded was guest of honour and presided over the prize distribution function
