Bad condition of roads in entire Mohali city,Neither Municipal Corporation nor Gmada is taking any action: Parvinder Singh Sohana

Chief Sevadar of Shiromani Akali Dal Mohali, Parvinder Singh Sohana, while raising the issue of the extremely bad condition of the roads in Mohali, has said that both the Municipal Corporation Mohali and Gmada are equally responsible for this. He said that Gmada has become the earning source of the Punjab government and corruption is completely prevalent in the Mohali Municipal Corporation. This is the reason why people who pay property tax of crores of rupees to Mohali Municipal Corporation are also deprived of basic facilities.
Parvinder Singh Sohana said that there is no single road in the area under Mohali Municipal Corporation which is not broken. He said that the previous Congress government remained a government that only put patch work on the roads and the present government is worth nothing.
He said that the responsibility of development of infrastructure in the new sectors of GMADA is of GMADA but the condition of roads in these new sectors is very pathetic. He said that Gmada has become a property dealer. He said that Gmada is fully focused on earning and has nothing to do with the infrastructure of the city.
He said that the Akali Dal government spent Rs 2500 crore to improve infrastructure during its tenure in Mohali. He said that all the important works that have been done in Mohali are due to the Akali government, whereas the Congress or the AAP government has neither brought any project in Mohali city nor turned any stone in terms of infrastructure development.
He demanded that an investigation should be conducted into the corruption rampant in the Mohali Municipal Corporation and punishment should be given to the responsible people who are misusing public money. He said that the condition of the roads in the area under the municipal corporation should be improved immediately. He said that in the same way the present government should instruct the GMADA officials to improve the deplorable condition of the roads in the new sectors.
