SAS Nagar : In a major breakthrough, Organized Crime Control Unit and District SAS Nagar police have arrested an associate of Davinder Bambiha and Sukha Duneke group namely Happy Singh @ Amy s/o Baldev Singh r/o Village Dohak PS Bariwala Distt Muktsar Sahib and recovered.32 calibre foreign made pistol along with six live cartridges at Chunni Kharar road, SAS Nagar.
A case FIR No. 12 dated 20-01-2022 u/s 392, 382, 384, 364-A, 365, 473, 120-B IPC and 25 Arms Act was registered against him and his associates at PS City Kharar, SAS Nagar. Happy Singh @ Amy is a close associate of gangster Sukha Duneke who is based in Canada and involved in major heinous criminal activities in Malwa region of Punjab such as murders, kidnapping, extortion and car-jacking etc. Happy Singh @ Amy along with his gang members namely Harry r/o Moud Mandi, Harry r/o Rajpura, Manpreet Singh @ Samma r/o Goniana,Avtar Singh Aulakh r/o Goniana, Sabu r/o Goniana and Yadwinder Singh r/o
Khidkia, Lucky r/o Jandwali, Sona r/o Jandwali are acting on the Sukha DunekeCanada and were executing murders, kidnapping, extortion etc.
During the initial investigation, Happy Singh @ Amy disclosed that he was involved in kidnapping of prominent Doctor from Sri Muktsar Sahib on 20-12-2021, when Doctor along with his wife had gone for a walk in the wee hours at Thandewala road in Sri Muktsar Sahib. Amy along with his associates kidnapped Doctor and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore to release him. They kept the doctor in their custody for more than three hours, then released him after taking ransom money of Rs 25 Lacs from his family. A case FIR No. 242 dated 22-12-2021 u/s 365, 384, 506, 534 IPC and 25, 27 Arms Act wasregistered at PS Sadar Sri Muktsar Sahib.
This was an untraced case. In further investigation, Happy Singh @ Amy revealed that on the directions of Sukha Duneke Canada, he provided weapons to the shooters who executed the killing of Manpreet Singh @ Challa Sidhu and Manpreet @ Vicky, associates of deceased Kulbir Singh Naruna. A case FIR No. 5 dated 12-01-2022 u/s 302, 34 IPC and 25, 27 Arms Act was registered at PS Nathana, Distt- Bathinda. Apart from above mentioned two incidents, Amy and his gang members are also involved in more than ten criminal incidents in the state of Punjab. Further investigation is in process.
