Chandigarh: UT boys has registered an emphatic win by an innings and 200 runs over host Tripura at the Col CK Nayudu Trophy match being played in Agartala on Tuesday. Visitors reduced Tripura to just 59 runs who resumed their overnight score of 46/7 on the day three .
Earlier, Chandigarh declared its innings at 390 runs for nine wickets wherein Chiragveer Dhindsa (130) emerged as the top scorer. Tripura was bundled out for 131 in their first inning followed by their miserable show in second innings as well. Riasuddin (19) was the top scorer from homeside. For Chandigarh, skipper Arjun Azad and Neel Dhaliwal clinched five wickets each in the match.
Chandigarh will play its second match of the tournament against host Assam at Guwahati from January 14.
