Aryan’s valiant knock helped UT boys to gain 344 runs lead against Vidarbha.

 

Chandigarh: A splendid unbeaten knock of 90 from Aryan Verma strengthened UT boys with 344 runs lead against Vidarbha on the third day of the Cooch Behar trophy match being played at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Earlier, Visitors failed to add a single run on their overnight score of 201/9 and collapsed at the same figure. Anmol and Nikhil took three wickets each.

With a lead of 83 runs, Chandigarh led to a decent start before opposition pace attack Devansh Thakkar dismissed both the openers Balraj Singh (43) and Devang Kaushik (11) with 77/2 on the board. Later, Nikhil (37) was bowled out by Shree Choudhary  followed by skipper Paras (4) in quick succession leaving the side at 121/4. Ishan Gaba and Aryan Verma made a 124 runs partnership to steer the score at 245. Ishaan (53) was out after scoring his half-century. Aryan (90 off 108 balls) and Tejvir (14) were on crease before the stumps were drawn.
