SAS Nagar:
District Legal Services Authority to hold National Lok Adalat
in Sessions Division, SAS Nagar on 09.12.2023 under the leadership of Harpal Singh, District & Sessions Judge, pre-litigative and pending cases shall be taken up by 22 benches.
At District Headquarter, SAS Nagar, 14 Lok Adalat benches shall take up the cases for settlement whereas 4 benches at Kharar and4 benches at Dera Bassi shall work for settlement of cases.
Criminal Compoundable Offences, NI Act cases under Section-138, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Disputes, Labour disputes, Land Acquisition cases, Electricity and Water Bills (Excluding non-compoundable theft cases), Service matters relating to pay and allowances and retiral benefits, Revenue Cases and other Civil Cases (Rent, Easmentary Rights, Injunction Suits, Specific Performance suits) etc. shall be considered for settlement between the parties.
Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar urged the public to settle their cases through Lok Adalat for win-win situation of both the parties.
He further disclosed that decision of a case settled in Lok Adalat shall be final and no appeal or revision lies against it. The parties are refunded the court fee affixed by them if they settle their matter in the Lok Adalat.
