Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) organized ‘Sports Activities at Snehalya For Girls, Sector-15, Chandigarh, Observation–cum-Special Home for Boys, Sector-25, Chandigarh and Snehalaya For Boys, Maloya, Chandigarh with the support of Delhi Public School, Sector-40, Chandigarh, Chitkara International School, Sector-25, Chandigarh and St.Joseph Sr.Sec.School, Sector-44D, Chandigarh respectively under its Month- Month-long celebrations to mark the ‘World Children’s Day & Veer Bal Diwas-2023’. The children of concerned CCIs enthusiastically participated in the various sports activities with the guidance of expert teams from the mentioned schools.
While speaking on the significance of the sports, Ms.Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR highlighted that Sports help us to stay fit and healthy, reduce stress, and build character. It teaches us teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. She further motivated the children to stay from any kind of addiction be it drug abuse, social media, gadets,etc. She encouraged the children to adopt healthy life styles and be a part of nationwide ‘FIT INDIA’ movement. Additionally, she admired the concerned schools for being a part of this Month- Long Celebrations and providing their expertise to the children.
