UTCA’s hosted Vijay Hazare Trophy league matches starting from today
Chandigarh: Piyush Chawla, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rinku Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Hanumant Vihari, KS Bharat, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar, Deepak Hooda and other international and IPL caps will be seen in action at the Vijay Hazare Trophy League matches at three venues of UT Cricket Association starting from Thursday.
These players are representing Assam, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, UP and Rajasthan in these league matches to be held at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Mahajan Cricket Ground and GMSS School, Sector 26. Meanwhile city lads reached Ahmedabad on Tuesday to play their league matches. A total of 21 matches will be played in this league tournament which will be ending on December 5.
UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon said that this is the third tournament in the series of 66 matches that Chandigarh has got to host from BCCI’s Domestic League. Prior to that Vinoo Mankad and Cooch Behar matches were staged in the city. He expressed that this league tournament, which is lasting for nearly two weeks, will help local budding cricketers to understand the playing techniques of internationally renowned cricketers.
Rajasthan will take on Arunachal Pradesh at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Assam to play against Gujarat at Mahajan Cricket Ground while Andhra Pradesh lock horns against Himachal Pradesh at GMSS Sec 26 School on Thursday.
