Chandigarh will soon have the glimpse of trophy
Chandigarh: The Cricket World Cup is in full swing in the country which would be doubled with its spirit with India being the host for the second edition of the Legends Cricket League (LLC). This league, adorned with former cricket stars, is being organized from 18th November to 9th December in Dehradun, Jammu, Ranchi, Vizag and Surat. Ahead of the league, Legends League Cricket has tied up with Vande Bharat Express (Indian Railways), as part of a nationwide campaign to encourage the league and sports as the coveted trophy of the league will travel from the 8th of November 2023 on the Vande Bharat Express. The trophy will travel across 17 different states and UT’s all over the country. Many union ministers and the Indian Railways team will be a part of this journey. Marquee sports personalities from across the nation will also be joining them on this coveted event making this journey larger than life. The first match of the league will be played between Bhilwara Kings captained by Irfan Pathan and India Capitals captained by current champion Gautam Gambhir. Other teams participating in the league include Manipal Tigers, Gujarat Giants, UrbanRisers Hyderabad and Southern SuperStars. The league will be telecast on Star Sports Network and FanCode. Overseas players like Suresh Raina, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Sreesanth, Parthiv Patel, Shane Watson, etc. are participating in it.
On this occasion, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that he welcomes the veteran players from India and abroad gathering in Vande Bharat and is ready to participate in this campaign to promote sports across the country. The commissioner of this league is Ravi Shastri who is very curious about this league. According to him, the scope of this league is bigger than the previous edition and more and more players are participating. According to Raman Raheja, CEO of LLC, Indian Railways has a unique initiative to promote the culture of sports in every corner of the country. The chairman of the league is confident that cricket fans will be eager to see their favorite stars. According to Vivek Khushalani, Chairman, LLC, “ it is a matter of pride for Vande Bharat Express to be associated with this league. It’s an honour to have legends of cricket travel across the country with the LLC trophy.”
