Traffic Police Crack Down in Zirakpur, Over 300 Challans Issued in Single-Day Special Drive
DPB, Mohali; Acting on the directions of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohali, the Zirakpur Traffic Police carried out a special checking drive across the city, taking strict action against traffic violators. During the operation, officials issued “310 challans in a single day” for various traffic rule violations.
According to the traffic incharge Manphul Singh, action was taken against motorists for offences including “driving without helmets, not wearing seat belts, driving on the wrong side, illegal parking, over-speeding, use of black films, jumping red lights and other violations of traffic rules.”
The Traffic Incharge, Zirakpur, Manphul Singh said that “those violating traffic rules will not be spared under any circumstances, and such special checking drives will continue in the future as well.”
He also appealed to the public to strictly follow road safety norms, use helmets and seat belts, and adopt responsible driving habits to help prevent road accidents and ensure safer roads for everyone.
