Vigilance Bureau arrested Shankar Singh, for getting a job of Counsellor on the basis of a fake degree/certificate

Adopting zero tolerance approach against corruption, Vigilance Bureau Punjab today arrested Shankar Singh Counsellor, posted at the De-addiction Centre in Civil Hospital Bareta district Mansa for getting a job of Counsellor on the basis of fake degree/certificate.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said that action has been taken against accused Counsellor Shankar Singh, resident of village Bhunder Bhaini, tehsil Moonak, district Sangrur after probing the complaint. Degree/certificate of Counsellors and computer Operators who were recruited through outsourcing by Innovision Limited, a private company in the year 2023 were got verified by the Office of the Civil Surgeon, Mansa and it was found that he got the job of Counsellor on basis of bogus degree/certificate.
A case has been registered against him under different Sections at police station VB range Bathinda and further investigation in this case is under progress.
