Chandigarh: Two teams from Bhavan Chandigarh have topped the national level of the prestigious Technovations Girls event.  The Technovation Challenge was held in over 100 countries to empower young girls to solve social problems by building mobile apps.

Team Cureres, comprising Aditi Sharma of Class 10, Varuni Raghav of Class 8 and Amani Singla of Class 7 made an app called Every Edison for dyslexia patients. This app would help them learn to interact with the world. Winning the national edition, this team has been selected for the international round in the Senior category of 15-18 years. The second team, Team Codebreakers comprising Pragya Thakur, Khwahish and Anika Vohra from Class 8 developed an app called Shopovia to help rural communities sell their home-made and eco-friendly products anywhere. This team topped the National level too, and has been selected in the international round for the Junior category (10-14 years). Both teams were mentored by mentors Anubhav Bhalla and Harleen Kaur from iTinker.
