Dawn Punjab Bureau / Chandigarh: Bhavan’s Old Students Society(BOSS), the alumni network of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh organised a two day Covid vaccination drive at G K Resort Zirakpur on 12th and 13th June 2021.
Over 500 doses of both Covaxin and Covishield vaccines were administered during this well-organized camp. Following complete Covid vaccination protocols of social distancing, sanitization, masks and basic medical check-up, the camp also provided a resting area for those who had come to take the jab. The team of government doctors appreciated BOSS’s efforts in the seamless functioning of the camp.
Yashanjit Singh, IRTS and Vineeta Arora, Senior Principal offered valuable guidance to BOSS members in organizing the event. Chairman R.K Saboo, Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh Kendra congratulated the entire team of BOSS for this noble endeavour.
It is worthy to note that the school’s alumni network has successfully undertaken a host of philanthropic activities since the pandemic. These include creation of a COVID -19 helpline, PPE kits donations, ration to the needy at Bapu Dham Colony, chocolates to Corona warriors among other endeavors. Their recent endeavor KOSHISH provides financial aid to patients, who need medical help and invasive procedures like heart surgery. In the recent tumultuous times, BOSS has stood out asa one-of-its-kind alumni network, sincerely committed to the betterment of society, truly exemplifying the fundamental values of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
